  • Whitney

    Meet Whitney! Described by friends as ingenious, adventurous, and FUN. Someone you want to be around and friends with. She has a genuine interest in people and helping people reach their goals.

    She is the founder of WhitFit NYC and the WhitFit HIIT Work Out. She created WhitFit HIIT to combine the best of boxing footwork, barre, Pilates, yoga, and boot camp for optimal results. Along with originating WhitFit HIIT, Whitney also is a certified Inferno Hot Pilates, Vinyasa Yoga, Barre, and Restorative Yoga teacher.

    Whitney’s passion for fitness has been a common thread throughout her career, from being a multi-sport athlete in College to her time as a Cheerleader. She’s been featured in several high-profile music videos (she’ll let you guess which ones).

    WhitFit NYC and WhitFit HIIT were born from the idea that fitness should be varied, fun, balancing, and accessible to all. She has a particular interest in helping athletes recover from injury, and also enjoys motivating her students with challenging, invigorating classes. She can’t wait to see you in the studio!

  • Alexa

    Alexa Kerner is a 400 Hour Certified Yoga Instructor (2 separate 200 Hour trainings) specializing in Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Yin Yoga. She is currently rounding up her time at NYU Gallatin where she studies the integration of Mindfulness and Eastern Philosophy with Performance, and minors in Child Psychopathology. She hopes to teach internationally and continue to grow her own practice. She has studied under teachers such as Jonah Kest, Ashley Griffin, Brittany Bamrick, Dawn DeLeonardis, Ava Johanna, and Andrew Sealy. She hopes you leave her class feeling empowered, challenged, and supported!

    I am a former D1 volleyball player who has always had fitness at the forefront of my life. After practicing yoga for almost 10 years, I decided to start teaching. My yoga practice and fitness journey have kept me a float mentally. They saved my life and I love to share the magic of yoga and a consistent workout routine. I’m excited for my students to feel held and seen in my classes!

  • Lo Poppy

    Lo Poppy (She/They) is so excited to begin teaching HIIT workouts at WHITFIT starting this May. She is a movement based artist who has fallen in love with Pilates, strength training, yoga, and other modes of cross training throughout her 18 years as a dancer. Lo’s intention is to motivate and support you as you reach for your goals by kicking your butt and showing you that you can do anything you set your mind to. Her classes invite you to experience radical love and patience for your body, mind and soul as you face challenges in the class. She will be there to remind you that this journey takes time but showing up as you are and putting in the work is where the golden nugget is.

    Lo is here to jam with you, feel powerful with you and make sure you leave class feeling confident, inspired and ready to face the day as the radiant human you are⭐️

    Hi! I'm Megan Ali, originally from Long Island, NY. By day, I'm a 3rd grade English as a Second Language teacher, but outside the classroom, I'm an avid pilates enthusiast! My pilates journey has spanned over 7 years, and it's a passion I can't see myself ever letting go of. Health and wellness are very important to me, which is why pilates became my go-to choice for both body and mind strengthening. The way pilates makes me feel is simply incredible.

    My path as an English teacher was driven by my strong desire to empower my students, equipping them with the tools they need to feel confident and embrace their true potential. However, as I delved deeper into the world of pilates, I discovered a beautiful opportunity to merge my love for teaching and pilates by becoming an instructor myself! Amidst my journey, WhitFit NYC served as a true inspiration, motivating me to take the leap and pursue this dream I've held

    Tess (she/her) has been practicing yoga since 2010 and now holds a 500-hour teaching certification. She teaches functional-mobility-infused flows that pull movement vocabulary from yoga, dance, sports, HIIT, or whatever else she's vibing with. She grew up playing competitive sports and dancing; she is still constantly taking other classes and learning new skills to explore what can make us more strong, flexible, and confident. Her sequences are creative and music-driven but always with a foundation in anatomy and functionality. Aside from teaching, she is a professional actor and singer, currently in THE OFFICE! A MUSICAL PARODY off-Broadway.

    Meet Samuel! THIS ray of sunshine! You will love his classes! He teaches Vinyasa Yoga & Yoga HIT!

    Samuel Floyd (he/him, @samuelcfloyd) could not be more thrilled to join his friends at WhitFit)!

    Yoga has been an integral part of Samuel's life since high school. He worked across the country in musical theatre for 10+ years, and when the pandemic hit, he cultivated a dedicated, daily practice.

    He finished a Power Vinyasa YTT last year. His style offers moments of peace and moments of fire. He loves nothing more than geeking out about yoga poses after class and singing very loudly.
